As a probation order or as a conditional sentence, judges may order individuals to perform a specified number of hours of volunteer work in the community, at charitable organizations. JHSLD oversees the completion of these community work orders by setting up work placements, providing support to participating community agencies, and by verifying that the work order has been completed satisfactorily. JHSLD provides this program in both Grey and Bruce Counties.
